The Facilitative Leadership Training Institute, an initiative of ICA New Orleans, was created to develop training workshops, seminars, and retreats to equip both formal and informal leaders in facilitative leadership skills. It continues to specialize in ICA's Technologies of Participation methods (ToP®) with an emphasis on the underlying principles and assumptions that under gird these methods. For more about ICA.
Its senior faculty and trainers have over twenty years of consulting and facilitation experience within both large and small for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, community agencies, governmental and educational institutions, and coalitions across the world providing a multidisciplinary and multicultural approach to organizational and societal change. We believe that one manifests or "acts out" one's actual self-understanding of who they are - what they know, assume and believe about themselves and others. To be alive is to be in a state of constant change as our thoughts, attitudes, and experiences impact us. Thus positive change is initiated from within, from altering our beliefs, thoughts, and attitudes. The more one is aware of these, the more one is able to become the master of one's thoughts and use their natural gifts and talents to accelerate personal growth and positive change.
