What It Is

The GUIDED DIALOGUE METHOD provides a structure for effective dialogue in groups, providing a basis for communication where a sense of meaning, purpose and significance can emerge. It allows a group to share diverse perspectives in a non-confrontational manner creating an opportunity for people to expand their perspectives.

Why It Works

The process incorporates the rational, emotional, and experiential responses from the participants. It works because it follows the natural, human thinking and reflective process. By the skillful use of questions, a facilitator simply slows this process down so that the group can think and reflect collectively.

When To Use It

A major advantage of the GUIDED DIALOGUE METHOD is its versatility. It works well with groups where the individual members do not know each other and with groups in which they do. It works with a group that may never be together again as well as with well-established groups. It works with people of diverse or homogeneous backgrounds and ages.
